Swiss Energy Program.
Swiss Energy Program is a project promoted by Tarchini Group – powered by GIG Europe – involving the development and installation of more than 100 battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Switzerland, each with an indicative rating of around 5 MW / 10 MWh.
The program was created to strengthen the stability of the Swiss power grid, support distribution networks and foster the integration of renewable energies, through standardized, reliable infrastructure designed to last.

We select plots of land close to major distribution substations to install our BESS and provide flexibility to the grid. We offer a guaranteed annual income for at least 30 years and the opportunity to actively contribute to the energy transition and to achieving the Confederation's targets.
COLLABORATION WITH
GRID OPERATORS
Swiss Energy Program is developed in ongoing dialogue with distribution system operators (DSOs) from the earliest stages.
This collaboration makes it possible to:
- identify suitable substations and areas
- assess the technical compatibility of sites
- integrate storage systems in line with grid requirements

Swiss Energy Program focuses on identifying sites with the technical and logistical characteristics suited to installing BESS systems.
The program looks for sites with:
- proximity to medium-voltage substations
- location in industrial or infrastructure areas
- good technical and logistical access

Swiss Energy Program offers owners of industrial or infrastructure land the opportunity to take part in a long-term energy infrastructure program.
The program consists of:
- fixed, index-linked annual payments
- long-term building right

We take care of everything else.
GIG Europe SA acquires a building right on your land and takes care of everything – from design and construction through long-term operation and maintenance, all the way to final decommissioning.

Liability, environmental cover, business interruption. All insurance costs are covered (paid) by Swiss Energy Program.
Operational responsibility
Swiss Energy Program owns and operates the BESS. The landowner has no operational obligations and no technical liability.

Each partner receives a personalized Certificate of Impact quantifying the annual CO2 reduction thanks to the BESS installed on their site.
